An independent, non-profit organization, Lifeline of Ohio promotes and coordinates the donation of human organs and tissue for transplantation. Lifeline of Ohio is a Donate Life Organization serving 37 Ohio counties along with Wood and Hancock counties in West Virginia. Accredited by both the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations and the American Association of Tissue Banks, Lifeline of Ohio provides services to 78 hospitals and the communities they serve through its procurement and tissue coordinators, and other professional staff.
Aurora has been working side-by-side with Lifeline of Ohio for many, many years; providing brand awareness tools for their staff to take to conferences, speaking circuits and health fairs. We produced a few “bits and bobs” for their interior spaces, but, when Lifeline expanded their offices on Kinnear Road and added the Donor Memorial, Aurora collaborated on the Brandscaping™ of their entire space.
Of the most notable aspects of the design is a series of shadowboxes in the conference center, each of which artfully portrays small trinkets and memories of the donor hero’s life. Without question, a labor of love, Aurora’s staff continues to give time and talent to the creation of these shadowboxes quarterly. Another point of pride is the tree wall on the first floor, where Lifeline’s staff meets every Monday morning to honor those heroes who have donated organs, tissue and/or eyes by placing a leaf on the wall. Profound in its meaning, it is a constant visual reminder of these lives and their families and why the professionals at Lifeline are so dedicated to their work to save and heal lives.
